High School Graduation Plan

Subject Area Graduation Requirements: Four Year Program
English 4 credits with major concentration in composition, reading for information and literature
Mathematics 4 credits, at the Algebra 1 level or above
Science 3 credits in Science, two of which must have a laboratory component
Social Studies 1 credit World History
1 credit American History
0.5 credit American Govt.
0.5 credit Economics
Foreign Language Not required for high school graduation; but 2 consecutive credits of the same language required for admission into state universities
Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Speech, Debate, or Practical Arts 1.5 credit in Fine or Performing Arts, Speech, Debate, or Practical Arts
Physical Education 1.5 credit in Physical Education to include the integration of Health
Religious Education 4 credits
Electives 1 credit in a Major Area of Interest;1 credit in individual elective courses.

Grade Point Average (GPA) Requirements Cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
Honors Diploma 6 of the classes must be Honors, Advanced Placement or Dual Credit to receive an Honors Diploma

*Honors courses are weighted 1.0 more than regular courses.
